The Chess Journalists of America Awards, recognizing the best in chess journalism, were announced at the annual CJA meeting on August 4th, 2017. ChessMaine.net was honored in the Electronic Media category as the best USCF State Chapter Website. We are humbled to accept this award on behalf of all of those contributing their efforts to promote chess in Maine. This is the third time the official website of the Maine Chess Association has been honored by the Chess Journalists of America. The CJA is an American organization of chess journalists created to promote high quality chess journalism, to provide assistance to the working journalist through articles and contacts and to recognize chess journalism at its best through an annual awards program.
