On Saturday, April 13, 2024, 15 players competed in three US Chess rated sections (Open, U1000, and U400) at the Hancock Grammar School Play for a Playground Chess Tournament. Winners were: Isaiah Fallon (Open), Rebecca Stanley (U1000), and a two-way tie between Sadie Monahan and Elijah Hendershott (U400). Here's the tournament report with US Chess crosstables.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, the first of its kind Maine K-8 Scholastic Bughouse Championship was played at the Chess Camp Barn in Hope, Maine. Eight players and four teams competed: two from Camden Rockland Elementary School, one from Giving Tree Learning Center in Camden, and a hybrid team of one player from Camden Rockland Elementary School and one from South Routt Elementary School in Yampa, Colorado. On March 30th, 2024, the long-awaited Maine Scholastic Individuals Championship took place at Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Maine. After many hard-fought battles, Gabriel Eaton took home first place with 4.5 / 5 points. Charlie Creswell was a close runner up with 4 / 5 points and received 2nd Place.
