03.18.16 On Saturday, March 26, 2016 the Scholastic Individual Championships will take place at the University of Maine in Orono. All scholastic chess players are warmly welcomed to attend. A number of players are invited to the "Individuals" free of charge based on their performance in the Scholastic Team Championships played last Saturday, March 12, 2016. Here is the list of those invited to the Individuals free of charge.

The criteria for earning a waived entry fee for participation in the Scholastic Individual Championships on March 26, 2016 is based on a player's performance in the Scholastic Team Championships (Novice sections excluded):

High School Team Championship Section
Players in the High School Team Championship section who scored 3.0 points or more on Board 1, or, 3.5 points or more on Boards 2-5 and the top scoring female player in the High School Team Championship section.

High School Team Reserve Section
Players in the High School Team Reserve section who scored 3.0 points or more and the top scoring female player in the High School Team Reserve section.

Junior High School Championship Section
Players in the Junior High School Team Championship section who scored 3.0 points or more and the top scoring female player in the Junior High School Team Championship section.

K-6 Championship Section
Players in the K-6 Team Championship section who scored 3.0 points or more and the top scoring female player in the K-6 Team Championship section.

K-3 Championship Section
Players in the K-3 Team Championship section who scored 3.0 points or more and the top scoring female player in the K-3 Team Championship section.
