In Memory: Dr. William F. Gallagher Jr. (October 4, 1935 - November 5, 2025)
11.22.2025 With the passing of Dr. William F. "Bill" Gallagher Jr., the Maine chess community has lost a player, advocate, and friend. Bill was an amazing person. With degrees from Dartmouth College and Harvard Medical School, Bill was a kind and compassionate man with a fierce intellect. Our sincere condolences to Bill's family and friends. A private gathering will be held at a later date to Celebrate his Life. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Sail, Power & Steam Museum, located at 75 Mechanic Street, in Rockland, Maine.
