MECA Seeking Bids to Host the Scholastic State Chess Championship Tournaments
09.11.25 The Maine Chess Association is accepting bid applications from schools and school chess programs to host its three flagship Scholastic Championship tournaments: The Kathy Richards Maine Girls' Chess Championship, held this year on February 7, 2026; the Maine Scholastic Team Chess Championships, held this year on March 7, 2026; and the Maine Scholastic Individual Chess Championships, held this year on March 21, 2026.
The Maine Chess Association is accepting bid applications from schools and school chess programs to host its three flagship Scholastic Championship tournaments. Any bidding school or district should submit a proposal to Justin Fisette at jfisette@RSU56.org no later than October 31, 2025, outlining how the school can accommodate each tournament if selected to host.
