(*REVISED*) Maine Scholastic Team Chess Championships Information and Registration
02.02.23 The 2023 Maine Scholastic Team Chess Championships will take place on Saturday, March 11th at Lewiston High School. Six sections of competition will be offered: High School Championship, High School Reserve, Middle School Championship, Elementary School Championship (K-5), Primary School Championship (K-3) and K-1 Championship. Hello I am hoping to get some information on registering a student for an individual tournament as we do not have a team.
What are the requirements needed to participate in a tournament with high school players?
How would I register this student if they meet all of the requirements?

Hi Sean, Thank you for the note. Individuals can participate in both the upcoming state scholastic team and individual events. In the team events depending on the section either the top three or top five scorers on the team count towards the teams' score but teams of less than three and five players can compete.
