Mainers at 90th Massachusetts Open
06.12.22 Five Mainers competed in the 90th Massachusetts Open played on Memorial Day weekend in Westford, Massachusetts: Wyatt Hendrix and Aaron Spencer in the Championship section, Will Ravn in the U2100, Hayden Tittle in the U1800, and Sam Silberstein in the U1500.

The 90th Massachusetts Open was hosted at the Westford Regency Inn & Conference Center, 219 Littleton Road in Westford, Massachusetts on May 28 - May 30, 2022.
Wyatt Hendrix had an outstanding tournament finishing equal fifth with 4.0 points in six rounds in the very strong Championship section. This performance propelled the former Maine State Champion to an expert-level rating of 2028. Fellow Maine expert Aaron Spencer did not fare as well and went scoreless in the same section.
In the U2100 section, Will Ravn put up 3.0 points on two wins and two draws.
Hayden Tittle came out swinging in the U1800 section with three straight wins. He was unable to sustain this pace however and dropped his next three to finish tied for 19th place in a field of 48 players.
In the U1500 section, Sam Silberstein won one and drew two for 2.0 points.
We were unable to get images from this event as the organizers had a strict no cellphone or camera policy in the tournament room.
