In Memory: Mark McPheters
06.05.22 With great sadness we report the passing of Mark Edward McPheters. A longtime member and organizer of the Waterville Chess Club, Mark was a beloved figure in the Maine chess community for so many years. He will be dearly missed. Our deepest condolences to Mark's family and friends.

Always a true gentleman and a worthy opponent over the board, Mark was an avid player and dedicated organizer for local and state chess over the 30+ years I knew him.
