Deer Isle-Stonington Chess Player Henry Penfold Named Valedictorian
6.15.22 Congratulations to Deer Isle-Stonington High School senior Henry Penfold on receiving the school's valedictorian honor. Henry is a longtime member of the Deer Isle-Stonington Chess Team, National Honor Society, Student Council, and participated in cross country, theatre, tennis, band, Eco Club, and Math Team. Henry will be studying marine biology at Bodoin College this fall.
We knew him when! Henry Penfold at the 2013 Maine State Scholastic Individual Championships. Henry finished tied for third place in the K-3 Championship section.
