MECA Annual Report
01/20/22 The Board of the Maine Chess Association has released the MECA Annual Report for 2022. The Report highlights how far the Association has come fulfilling its mission statement of Connecting Mainers through chess, sizes up current challenges in the state of chess in Maine, and looks forward with optimism as MECA continues to grow and serve its members and the chess community moving forward.

it's great to see the enthusiasm of chess players in maine, and the tremendous dedication of so many supporting personnel assisting our scholastic players.
it's no surprise to see so many of that supporting cast are in the broader field of education. chess is recognized as one of the best forms of the mental exercise/discipline for young (and old) minds to learn and practice.
thanks to all who are making these opportunities to meet and play available across the state.
