U.S. Championships: Wesley So Repeats, Carissa Yip Dominates

10.19.21 Wesley So won the 2021 U.S. Chess Championship playoff played at the St. Louis Chess Club and Scholastic Center after finishing in a three-way tie for first with Fabiano Caruana and Sam Sevian with 6.5/11. Carissa Yip took the U.S. Women's Championship title with one round to spare dominating the field with 8.5/11 and 1.5 points ahead of her nearest rival.



The 2021 U.S. Championship and the 2021 U.S. Women's Championship was played from
October 6-19, in St. Louis.
