Second Saturday Quads Tournament Report

11.01.20 The Second Saturday Quads were held on September 12, 2020 at the Creative Arts Center in Brewer, Maine. The tournament offered two quads and a six-player section. Here's the tournament report with US Chess crosstables.

After the Second Saturday Quads held on September 12, 2020 at the Creative Arts Center in Brewer players hit the outdoor lawn set for a few more games.

Fourteen players turned out for the Second Saturday in September Quads held at the Creative Arts Center in Brewer on Saturday, September 12, 2020.

In Quad 1, Ethan Yu went three-for-three to take first place. The winner was trailed by Miles Kaplan (2.0), Jacob Klein (1.0), and Christian Zhang (0.0).

Quad 2 saw a three-way tie for first between Avery Zhang, Kate Ervin, and William Kogut each who scored 2.0 points. Nathanial Wong rounded out the section in fourth place.

Isaac Klein took the top spot in the six-player section with a perfect 3.0 points in as many rounds. Preston Couto finished clear second with 2.0 points. Mason LaPierre and Matthew Davis tied for third with 1.5 points apiece.
