In Memory: Allan James Braff (1930-2020)
09.13.20 It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Allan James Braff of Cape Elizabeth. Allan was a good friend of the Maine Chess Community often visiting The Works Bakery Cafe for Sunday morning chess. His close friend and fellow chess player Jon Malev described Allan as a tough fun-loving opponent and a furious tactician. Our most sincere condolences and sympathy are extended to Allan's family and friends.

I played many games with Allan over Sunday morning bagels in Portland. He was always gracious, always pleasant, and always had a good story to share. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
