Fall Chess @ UMA Tournament Report

11.24.19 Thirty-six players competed in seven sections at the Fall Chess @ UMA tournament on Saturday, November 16, 2019. The event was held in the Fireplace Lounge at the University of Maine Augusta. Here's the illustrated tournament report with US Chess crosstables.



Each student who participated in the Fall Chess @ UMA tournament received a gift of school supplies courtesy of tournament director Barry Magda.

The organizers and directors of the event would like to thank all who participated and especially Rose at the University of Maine Augusta for her assistance in making the tournament happen.

Jarod Bryan and Stephen Morse played to a draw in their final game to tie for first place in Quad 1.

Section 2 was won by Brian Roderick with 3.0 points.

Kevin Lin took the top spot in Quad S1 with a perfect 3.0 points.

Jace Anastacio took clear first in Quad 2 with 3.0 points in three games.

In Quad 3, a two-way tie ensued between Dylan Miller-Barrett and Lucas Estes both who put up 2.0 points apiece.

Sawyer Rooney and Kaiden Tillman finished equal first in Quad 4 with 2.0 points each.

Finley Whiting rose to the top of the eight-player Swiss section with a perfect three-for-three.
