Scholastic chess player and budding annotator Wyatt Hendrix has selected a very interesting and entertaining game to share with us played by Maine's own Sergio Mejia at the recently completed 45th annual World Open in Philadelphia. Mejia scored 6.0 points in the U2200 section which was just 1.0 point out of the money and 1.5 points out of first place. We hope you enjoy the game and the annotations.

Eight players turned out for the annual Potato Blossom Festival Chess Tournament held this year at The Fort Fairfield Community Center in Fort Fairfield, Maine on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Canadian Leonardo Cui had a great day going four strait to win the tournament with 4.0 points. A three-way tie ensued for second place between Ansel Schiffer, Roger Morin, and Brian Hurst each putting up 2.5 points. Here's the illustrated tournament report.
