13-Year-Old Maine Girl to Wield Sabre in National Competition
06.03.16 Maine scholastic chess player Erin Gerbi has qualified for the Summer Nationals of the U.S. Fencing Association. She is the only Maine youth to qualify for this tournament. Erin, who just turned thirteen, has been fencing since she was nine and has represented the Stillwater Montessorri School in Old Town at state scholastic chess tournaments. We wish her the best of luck at the Fencing Summer Nationals.
