Sergey Karjakin is the Challenger!
03.28.16 It was going to be either Sergey Karjakin or Fabiano Caruana. In the last round of the Candidates Tournament Karjakin was able to beat Caruana to finish the tournament a full point ahead of his nearest rival. Karjakin will therefore challenge Magnus Carlsen for the World Chess Championship to be played in New York City in November of this year. Congratulations Sergey!
