In Memory of Sevan Muradian
03.02.16 The worldwide chess community lost a tireless advocate, revolutionary, and friend with the untimely passing of Sevan Muradian on February 17, 2016. At just forty years old, Sevan was a driving force in both U.S. chess and on the international chess circuit. He was an International Arbiter and International Organizer, Secretary of the FIDE Rules Commission and USCF Senior Tournament Director. He was on the board of the Susan Polgar Foundation and in 2007 Sevan won the USCF Organizer of the Year award. His death leaves us shocked and saddened. Our deepest condolences to Sevan's family and friends. Rest in peace and Godspeed Sevan.
