2015 U.S. Chess Championship Underway in St. Louis
04.06.15 The top twelve players in the country, including U.S. number 1 (and current World number 2) GM Hikaru Nakamura and U.S. number 2 GM Wesley So, are competing in the U.S. Chess Championship St. Louis. After five rounds Nakamura leads with 4.0 and So is trailing close behind with 3.5. The official site has amazing live coverage every day beginning at 2:00 p.m. on the east coast.

The 2015 U.S. Championship, taking place from March 31-April 14 at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis, features 12 of the strongest chess players in America. Over the course of eleven rounds, these competitors will battle for $175,000 in prize money, qualification into the World Championship cycle, and the coveted title of 2015 U.S. Champion.
