We had a great turnout for our MECA Chess Player of the Year event UMA Chess Quads 2014 with 32 players participating in all. There was also a significant group of hangers on and watchers.

Jarod Bryan topped Quad 1 with 2.5 points. In Quad 2 Curt Brock and Brett Parker tied for first with 2.0 points. Brian Hurst blanked his opposition in Quad 3 scoring a perfect 3.0 points and Greg Wadsworth and Ben Peterson tied for first in Quad 4 with 2.5 points apiece.

Matthew Griffith went unbeaten and untied in his three games in Section 5 and Darrell Butler did the same to take top honors in Section 6.
