MECA Elections
12.12.13 It's time to elect the Maine Chess Association Policy Board for 2014-15. The Policy Board consists of four officers and four directors to assist with promoting chess activities in Maine, including the Maine State Chess Championship tournament and to support the official MECA website, ChessMaine.net. Policy Board members serve a two-year term.
Members of the Policy Board must have a current membership in the Maine Chess Association, and only current MECA members may cast ballots in the election.
We urge you to vote in this election to support the Policy Board members in their efforts to improve and expand participation in Maine chess activities.
Voting will begin immediately and will continue until midnight on Sunday, December 29, 2013 through use of the attached ballot. Simply download the ballot and follow the instructions. Matthew Fishbein is interested in joining the policy board. Since there are only three candidates for the four seats, please consider writing in Matthew for the fourth spot!
