03.20.13 Sixteen player competed in the First Medomak Valley Tyro Event at Medomak Valley Middle School in Waldoboro on March 16th. Trevor Brown took first in the scholastic section with a perfect 4.0 points in as many games and Corey Dunn won the adult (U1500) section with 3.5 points. Thanks to Jim DuBois for organizing this event and we look forward to more tournaments at this venue.

Trevor Brown outpaced his competition by a full point in the scholastic section scoring a perfect 4.0 points. Greg Wadsworth and Grant Bodine tied for second with 3.0 points. Kyle Olson and Sam Fournier tied for forth place with one point apiece.

The adult section was won by Corey Dunn with 3.5 points. Frank Collemer posted a strong sole second with 3.0 points. Equal third were tournament top rated Brian Hurst and Lois Morin. John Jones, Jason Kennedy and Anne York put up 2.0 points. Joseph Benoit (1.5) and Tim Johnson (1.0) and William McClellan (0.0) rounded out the crosstable.
