ChessMaine.net Editor Selected for USCF Publications Committee
02.05.13 ChessMaine.net Editor, and Maine Chess Association Vice President, Dan DeLuca has been selected to serve on the United States Chess Federation Publications Committee. Ramon Hernandez, current chair of the USCF Publications Committee and former chair of the Chess Journalists of America Awards Committee, chose DeLuca based on his work at ChessMaine.net the award-winning website of the Maine Chess Association.

The main responsibilities of the USCF Publications Committee are to provide oversight of all USCF publications including: Chess Life, Chess Life for Kids, the yearly Delegate's Call (given to members at and online before the U.S. Open), Chess Life Online (all of uschess.org minus the forums and the TD area), and any and all pamphlets and brochures published by the USCF National Office.
DeLuca's appointment will be a benefit to the Maine Chess Association as well as the association will now have a voice and an advocate on a key national committee.
