04-16-12 The 2012 Maine Closed Chess Championship will take place in Waterville this weekend, April 21-22, at the Best Western Grand Waterville Hotel. This tournament is the Maine Chess Association's flagship event and will attract many of the strongest players from all corners of the state. Don't miss your opportunity to participate in this once-a-year event!

The Maine Closed (Players must be Maine residents or attending a Maine university or college and be MECA members to participate.) Chess Championship is a five-round, G/120; 5d, tournament with a $500+ prize fund based on 40 entries.
