IM David Vigorito Lecture and Simul is Confirmed
07.09.11 International Master and author, David Vigorito (USCF 2548), will give a lecture and simul at the Southern Maine Community College Campus Center at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9th, 2011. The cost is $15 for either the lecture or simul or $25 for both. In addition, IM Vigorito will have copies of his books available for signing including his just-released Attacking Chess: The King's Indian (Volumes 1 and 2). A very nice event!
David presented an excellent discussion of the King's Indian defense with nicely illustrated variations from several of his games.
His simul was also enjoyable. Even though there were few surprises against most of the participants, many stayed afterwards for additional discussions, which lasted nearly another hour.
I hope we can do this again next year.
