Game, Set and Match!
07.05.10 Chess matches (where two players play multiple games with each oher) are rare in Maine. Still, all that's required are two willing participants and a tournament director. On June 14-17, 2010 Roger Morin and Todd Snyder played a four-game match in Houlton, Maine. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The match ended in a draw with Morin winning games 1 and 3 and Snyder taking games 2 and 4. Interestingly, the player with the black pieces won all 4 games. Morin said, "Playing one game a day at game 120 was very difficult as we both expended a great deal of energy on each game." Three of the games were played at the Masonic Hall in Houlton and one game--game three--was played at the Cary Library in Houlton allowing the pubc an opportunity to watch.
