Wesley Parker Cracks USCF Top 100 List
06.05.10 Wesley Parker of Cape Elizabeth has been recognized as one of the top eleven-year-old chess players in the nation. On the USCF June 2010 Top Player List, Parker (USCF 1577) is listed in 94th place. This is an outstanding accomplishment particularly when considering the top eleven-year-old player in the United States has a near-master rating of USCF 2190. Congratulations Wesley!
In addition to Parker, Maine scholastic player Matthew Fishbein, also from Cape Elizabeth, holds a national top-100 spot on the twelve-year-old list. Fishbein (USCF 1782) is listed as the 62nd strongest twelve-year-old in the United States on the June 2010 list. Based on his strong results in recent tournaments, Fishbein should climb even higher on the July 2010 list.
