In Memoriam: Richard Lynn Ainsworth
09.07.08 Richard Lynn Ainsworth of Trenton passed away on September 5, 2008. Lynn was an avid over-the-board player as well as a correspondence chess expert. He often played at the Ellsworth Chess Club where he will be fondly remembered and profoundly missed. Our deepest condolences to Lynn's family and friends.

RICHARD LYNN AINSWORTH TRENTON - Richard Lynn Ainsworth, 78, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 5, 2008, at his residence. He was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Boonville, N.Y., the son of Millard F. and Alice (Williams) Ainsworth. Lynn retired from General Tire as a supervisor. He was a fanatic Chicago Bear and NY Yankee fan. He enjoyed wood carving, chess and was an avid reader. Lynn was a member of the United States Chess Federation and Southwest Harbor Congregational Church. Lynn is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn of Trenton; sons, Robert and wife, Alice, of Virginia, Barry and wife, Peggy, Rick and wife, Sue and John and wife, Jill, all of North Carolina; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Muriel Cittadino of New York; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Southwest Harbor Congregational Church, 29 High Road, Southwest Harbor, with Pastor Blake Brown officiating. A reception will be after in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Charlotte, N.C.
