03.20.08 The second of three consecutive state scholastic championship tournaments--the Maine Scholastic Chess Championship for Girls to determine Maine's representative to the Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls--will take place this Saturday, March 22nd at the University of Maine, Orono in room 201 of Shibles Hall. Shibles Hall houses the College of Education and Human Development and is just a short walk from the Memorial Union. You can use this map to help you locate Shibles Hall. The tournament will have an Open section and an U600 section so all girl players are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
