08.15.07 The New England Masters, a nine round FIDE rated swiss, is underway at the Holiday Inn Boston-Peabody and will run through August 17th. The tournament provides an opportunity for players to achieve Grandmaster and International Master norms. Max Enkin, co-champion at the James R.F. Quirk Memorial tournament played in South Portland, Maine on January 13, 2007, is on track for his first IM norm with four rounds to go.
