Saint Valentine's Day Massacre Tournament Report
02.19.07 Twenty-four players competed in six quads at the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre Tournament at the University of Maine, Orono on Saturday, February 17, 2007. Here's the illustrated tournament report with crosstables.

Thanks to Tom Sandford for contributing to this report.
Four of the quads were won by players with a perfect score. J. Paul Ciarrocchi, Kris Fecteau, Brian Chick and Nathan Dee each blanked their opposition to take the top spot in their quads with 3 points. Winners in the other two quads were Ghezai Menelik and Cullen Edes (equal first with 2 points) and Murray Bridges with 2.5 points. Time control was Game in 60 and the tournament was organized and directed by Tom Sandford.
Crosstables of this event here.
No tension here: Cullen Edes surveys the position in his second round game with Ghezai Menelik.
Ghezai looking a bit more concerned but it was he who came out on top in this game.
J. Paul Ciarrocchi posts another fine tournament performance.
