You may have noticed in recent months that there has been very little activity on ChessMaine.net. As editor of this site, I am responsible for this lack of activity. The reason is that my life of late had become nearly unmanageable. The death of both of my parents in a five-month period coupled with countless projects and responsibilities have made it impossible for me to keep the site up to the journalistic standard that it has become know for. My dad, who taught me the moves and instilled in me a great love for the game, was one of the site's biggest fans duly reading each post, following each link and playing over each game. Now that this difficult period in my life is beginning to recede, I look forward to getting back to ChessMaine.net as my dad looks on from that chessboard in the sky.
