Announcing the Maine Scholastic Grand Prix 2024-2025. The Maine Scholastic Grand Prix is a season-long competition that ties together a variety of independent Maine chess events. The Cobscook Institute, a hub for community learning in Downeast Maine, will host two Scholastic Chess Advisor Sessions on Monday, September 16th and Monday, September 23rd from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. eastern. The workshops are free and can be attended either in-person at the Cobscook Institute in Trescott, Maine or online. The workshops will address some things to consider for the successful running of a scholastic chess club including materials, online resources, methods, technical assistance, and other factors.
