11.27.07 On Saturday, December 1st, the third annual Aurora Winter Solstice chess tournament will take place at the Airline Community School, 26 Great Pond Road in Aurora, Maine. The tournament features four sections: Open, U1400, U1000 and U600/Unrated. Cash prizes are up for grabs in the Open section. In the lower sections, prizes feature chess sets, boards and books, including a wooden set and board for the top K-12 player in the Open.
