EVENT: Washington County January Swiss

DATE: January 20, 2007.

LOCATION: Beacon of Light, Apple Lane (off Old County Road), Pembroke, Maine. Call for directions or follow signs from Pembroke Post Office at intersection of Rt. 1 and Rt. 214.

FORMAT: 4 Round Swiss.

2 RATED SECTIONS: OPEN: time control G/60. K-8: time control G/45. Other sections will be organized if entries permit (i.e. K-3, K-5, K-12). USCF and WCCF membership required for rated sections - available at site. WCCF membership waived for first tournament. Non-residents of Washington county receive %50 discount on membership.

3 NOVICE SECTIONS: K-6, K-8, K-12: time control G/45. Open to non-USCF members only. Sections may be combined if entries require.

PRIZES: OPEN: Trophies to top 3 places. SCHOLASTIC: Trophies to top 3 places and top unrated. NOVICE: 1 yr. USCF membership to top in each section.

ENTRY FEE: $5. ($3. Novice) pre-registration before 1/18. $10. (6$. Novice) after 1/18 or at site. All WCCF members are automatically pre-registered.

REGISTRATION: 8:00 am -9:00am. 1st round at 9:15, est. finish time for K-8 is 2:00pm, est. finish time for Open is 5:00 pm.
