You're invited to enter a scholastic Chess Tournament!

Salem High School, Salem, N.H.

Saturday, February 13, 8am-2pm

Directions: Salem is located in the southeast corner of New Hampshire on I-93 and bordering Massachusetts.  To reach Salem High School, get off Rt. 93 at exit 1.  Go through 3 stop lights (1st light - the mall, 2nd light (busy intersection, Rt 28, 99 Restaurant on corner, 3rd light at Toys 'R Us). Continue past one more street, and turn left on Geremonty Dr. (2nd left). High School 1/3 mile on left.

Entry Fee: $4 if mailed and received by 2/11 or $6 @ door

Format: Trophies Awarded, Swiss, 3 rds, G/45 for Open Section, 4 rds, G/30 other sections.

Registration: 8-8:45am(Entries after 8:45 may not be accepted until after the start of the first round.) Round Times:  1st round at 9, subsequent rounds asap. Awards:  2:00

Membership Dues: $16 USCF membership required for all entrants under age 12, $20 under age 15, and $24 under age 24, gets you a rating.

To Bring: Money, Chess set and board, Chess clock, Latest chess magazine

Sections will be based on a combination of grades and ratings

        Novice:  Grades K-5 and U800

        Reserve: Grades K-8 and U1000

        Open:    Grades K-12 and 1000 and over

Note:  The cutoffs for each section will be shifted to fit the grades and ratings of the players.
