ChessMaine.net Receives 2017 CJA Award for Best USCF State Chapter Website

The Chess Journalists of America Awards, recognizing the best in chess journalism, were announced at the annual CJA meeting on August 4th, 2017. ChessMaine.net was honored in the Electronic Media category as the best USCF State Chapter Website. We are humbled to accept this award on behalf of all of those contributing their efforts to promote chess in Maine. We extend our congratulations to all award recipients and our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Chess Journalists of America organization for its continued hard work and dedication recognizing the very best in chess journalism.

ChessMaine.net Receives Honorable Mention in 2016 CJA Awards

The Chess Journalists of America holds an annual awards program to recognize and honor outstanding chess journalism both in print media and online. These prestigious awards showcase American chess journalism published between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016. ChessMaine.net received an Honorable Mention in the category of Best USCF State Chapter Website. ChessMaine.net Honored by 2014 Chess Journalists of America Awards Program

ChessMaine.net has been selected by the Chess Journalists of America as the Best USCF State Chapter Website for 2014. This is the third time the official website of the Maine Chess Association has been honored by the Chess Journalists of America. The CJA is an American organization of chess journalists created to promote high quality chess journalism, to provide assistance to the working journalist through articles and contacts and to recognize chess journalism at its best through an annual awards program. ChessMaine.net Wins CJA Award...Again!

Not to belabor the point of winning the CJA award for the Best State Chess Association Website, but we did receive: a suitable-for-framing certificate from Jerry Hanken, the president of the Chess Journalists of America, that we wanted to share with you, a mention in the November 2007 Chess Life, and recognition at uschess.org.
