FOURTH ANNUAL SIDEKICK QUADS

The Maine Association of Chess Coaches invites you to play in the forth annual Sidekick Quads. This tournament will take place simultaneously with the State of Maine Scholastic Individuals tournaments, and all net proceeds from this event will go towards support of Maine Scholastic Chess. This tournament will provide unrated or USCF-rated play for adults, and others looking for a tournament or not otherwise engaged in, or just passing time until the Individual tournament events end. Details as follows:

Place: University of Maine Memorial Union

Date: March 29, 2008

Registration/check-in: 9:30-10AM on-site.

Entry Fee: $10 unrated; $15 USCF rated.

Format: Quads, G/45 (upon agreement of a quad and the TD, a longer time control may be allowed, but no longer than G/60)

Prizes: Rating points, a smug feeling of superiority, feeling good about supporting Maine Scholastic Chess, periods of relative quiet, keener brain cells.

Those playing in the rated quads will need to provide proof of current USCF membership or join USCF or renew membership (available at the site).
