Your last warm-up before the state championships!

 

Directions: Rye is located in the Seacoast. From the west: Take NH-101 east to exit 12. Turn left onto NH-111 for 2.5 miles, and stay straight on NH-111/ Atlantic Ave. After 0.7 miles turn left onto Lafayette Road/US-1. After 2.3 miles turn right onto Washington Road . The library is 2.1 miles down on the left. Turn left after the library to reach the parking lot. From the north: follow NH-16/Spaulding Turnpike to its end. Enter the Portsmouth Traffic Circle and take the 2nd exit onto US-1 Bypass. Go 3.7 miles, and turn left onto Lang Road . Go 1.4 miles and turn right onto Washington Road . The library is 0.1 miles on the right. Turn right just before the library to reach the parking lot.

Entry Fee: $4 if mailed and received by 3/10 (post or email) or $6 @ door

Format: Trophies Awarded, 3 round Swiss, G/30

Registration:  9-9:45am. 1st Round at 10:00, subsequent rounds ASAP. Awards: 1:00. Due to room limitations, registration is limited to the first 32 players. Pre-registration is STRONGLY recommended.

Membership Dues: $16 USCF membership required for all entrants under age 12, $20 under age 15, and $24 under age 24, gets you a rating.

To Bring: Money, Chess set and board, Chess clock, Latest chess magazine

Sections will be based on a combination of grades and ratings

        Novice:  Grades K-5 and U800

        Reserve: Grades K-8 and U1000

        Open:    Grades K-12 and 1000 and over

Cutoffs will be shifted to fit the grades and ratings of the players.
