The first week of the inaugural Maine Online High School Chess League has wrapped up! Five teams from across the state are currently in the mix for this online league held over chess.com: Cape Elizabeth High School, Bonny Eagle High School, John Bapst Memorial High School, Deer Isle-Stonington High School, and Morse High School. These teams will square off for up to seven weeks of competition, and the first matches wrapped up this week.
On Wednesday, January 13, Cape Elizabeth completed a sweep of Morse High School, 10-0.
On Friday, January 15, Bonny Eagle bested Deer Isle-Stonington, 7-3.
