ALL SAINTS WINTER WARM-UP CHESS TOURNEY

All Saints Catholic School will be hosting a rated four round (5 rounds for K-6 & unrated) Swiss system chess tourney. USCF membership is required for all sections but unrated. Scorekeeping is also required. Please bring equipment.

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012

Where: All Saints Catholic School (St. John’s campus) 166 State St. Bangor, Me. 04401 Entrance to the parking lot is on Somerset St.

TIME: Registration: 8:00-8:50 a.m.

Start: 9:15 a.m. Start times for consecutive rounds are approximately 15 minutes from the end of previous round.

COST: $15 if received by Feb 22nd; $20 at the door.

Note: K-3 unrated fee $10 in advance/$15 at the door.

(#4) Open game 60 (#5) Open u-1500 game 60 (#6) K-3 unrated

PRIZES: Scholastics: trophies to top two players, Open section: $50/$25/$15 for top three players, Open 1500 and under $25 cash prize

Concessions will be available. Subway is a 5 minute walk; Fast Foods are a five minute drive

DIRECTIONS:

From the north: Take I-95 S. to Exit 187. Turn left onto Hogan Rd. At the bottom of the hill (you can see the river), take a slight right onto US-2 (State St). The school is on the right (approx 1.3 mi.) Pass the school take two consecutive right turns to get to Somerset St. entrance

From the south: Take I-95 N to Exit 185. Take a left onto Broadway. (US-15) . Go straight 1 mile to State Street turn left and the school will be on your left (approx .3 mi.). Pass the school take two consecutive left turns to get to Somerset St. entrance

From Brewer: Cross the Penobscot Bridge (the farthest north bridge) and at the 3rd traffic light take a right onto State St. and the school will be on your left (approx .3 mi.) same as from south….
