Maine Scholastic Chess Championships for Girls

February 27, 2010, Memorial Union, University of Maine, Orono

The winner of this tournament or her alternate will be eligible to represent the State of Maine at the 2010 Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls, (July 25-30, Lubbock, Texas).

Format / Time Control: 4-Round Swiss, G/60 or G/55 with 5 second delay; USCF membership required (see below). Sections: Championship and Under 600 USCF Rating.

Prizes: Trophies - top 3 each section. Every player receives a special participation medal.

Schedule: Late registration ends Saturday 9:00 a.m., first round 9:15 a.m., subsequent rounds as soon as possible. Closing ceremony will take place after last round.

Entry Fee: For USCF members with proof of membership thru date of tournament: $5 if rec’d by Feb. 14. For non-USCF members under age 24: $29 if rec’d by Feb. 14. For non-USCF members under age 15: $25 if rec’d by Feb. 14. For non-USCF members under age 12: $21 if rec’d by February 14. Add $5 for post-Feb. 14 registration.
