Candidate Statement.

I am encouraged by the collective list of candidates on the MECA Policy Board for the next term of office, and I believe that progress can be made. Thus, I am asking all members who desire more progressive actions from this body, to provide me your support in this year’s elections as I run for President of MECA.

If elected, I will ask the new Policy Board members to institute important changes to MECA following January 1st, 2010. These changes will be aimed at making MECA a more relevant organization for Maine chess players and organizers throughout both halves of our state in the years ahead.
