12.09.09 The Aurora Winter Solstice Chess Tournament is scheduled for this Saturday, December 12, 2009. Take a break from your holiday shopping and come play some chess in Downeast Maine. There will be four sections: Open, U1400, U1000 and U600/Unrated for K-8 players; prizes include cash, books, chess sets and boards. Great homemade food too!
